Those benefits may include discounts on ACT/SAT testing fees, college application fees, as well as home internet and technology devices, among others.

Students who qualify for free/reduced school meals receive the same school meal options and check out process as students who do not receive free/reduced school meals.

Check your family's eligibility by filling out the form through the link below or in person at our district office, 800 S. 55th Street. For more information, contact Megan Rabun, Food Services Coordinator, at (913) 288-4141.

OLR AND PARENT ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS

In order for students to be able to receive their district technology, teacher assignment, and class schedule, their parent/guardian must complete online registration (OLR) and parent acknowledgements in Infinite Campus Parent Portal. To complete OLR, log into your Infinite Campus Parent Portal account and click on "Online Registration" in the menu bar. Make sure the information you have on file (emergency contacts, etc.) for each student is still accurate. Then, in July, parents/guardians will receive an email when Parent Acknowledgements are available in Parent Portal.

Families needing assistance with either new student enrollment or returning student OLR can get assistance at our district office. We are offering late enrollment nights on August 1st and August 7th. For assistance, call 913-288-4123.

STUDENT TECHNOLOGY

This year, all students will get their district technology during the first week of school.

TRANSPORTATION INFORMATION

USD 202 Transportation is ready to provide a great experience for our families and riders this school year. We are proud to share that we passed the state school bus safety audit with full points in all areas! Bus route assignments will be available August 7th in Ride 360. Please hold all route questions until after August 7th. Transportation will also have staff members at the building back to school nights in August for parents who have questions. You can contact USD 202 Transportation at 913-288-3700.

Bus Routes & Policies

USD 202 continues to be impacted by the national shortage of bus drivers. The state law requires and only provides funding for school districts to transport students that live more than 2.5 miles away from their school. USD 202 has chosen to provide free transportation to all students, including those living within 2.5 miles of their school. To be able to continue to offer transportation for all students in the upcoming year, we will maintain our procedure of consolidating bus routes. Parents with concerns about their child's bus stop location can submit a "Bus Stop Review Request" on the transportation page of the district website.

Students will be required to use their bus card each time they enter and exit the school bus. We will also remove students from routes after one month if they do not consistently ride either to or from school on the bus. A student’s bus service may be reinstated at any time, but it will take up to 3-5 days to get them routed on a bus.

How to Register & Use Ride 360

TUSD Transportation is looking forward to another year with the Ride 360 bus routing program. Parents who have not yet downloaded and registered for the Ride 360 app are encouraged to do so before the school year begins. Parents who utilized the app last year will need to re-register in the app for the 23 - 24 school year. To access bus route information, families will need to set up an account on Ride 360. To sign up, follow the instructions below:

  • Download the Ride360 app onto your mobile device.
  • Search for Turner USD 202 KCK.
  • Click the REGISTER button.
  • After registering, you will receive an email confirmation. You will need to confirm the email before you can continue with the registration process. Once you confirm the email, go back to the app or website and login.
  • Add your child by going to MY STUDENTS and selecting the PLUS (+) button. This will present the "Find a Student" screen.
  • Enter your child's student number. Your student knows it as their long number. This number is available in the Infinite Campus parent portal, simply click on today when you login. You will need to enter the grade number as two digits. For example, a second grader, would be entered as 02. For preschool, enter PK and for kindergarten enter KG. Repeat this step to find additional students.

THS AND TMS STUDENT ATHLETE PARTICIPATION

TMS and THS students who plan to participate in a school sport during the 23 – 24 school year will need an athletic physical on file. The Athletics Participation packet must be completed and received in the Athletics Office before any student may participate in practice, participate in tryouts, or participate in competition. The participation packet consists of:

  • KSHSAA Physical Form
  • KSHSAA Eligibility Checklist
  • Concussion Information Release Form
  • TUSD Emergency Medical Authorization
  • Code of Conduct Acknowledgement
  • Children's Mercy Informed Consent

Please be sure all forms are filled out and required signatures are complete. Incomplete packets will not be accepted. Student athletes in grades 7-12 must have a new physical dated after May 1st of each year and on file with the Athletic Office in order to participate.
