WELCOME TO TURNER MIDDLE SCHOOL

Turner Middle School educates seventh and eighth grade students. We are the only middle school in the Turner School District and we take great pride in our students who attend to learn and lead everyday. Our mission is to inspire all students, every day, to achieve their best.

At Turner Middle School we focus on academic growth but also aspire to elicit social and emotional growth in every student. In addition to our course offering, we host many student programs, clubs, activities, and athletics to engage and motivate students during this era of their educational journey.

Bart Woods, Principal

Mr. Woods has over thirty years in education, with many of those years being spent as an administrator, including as a middle school principal.

He received his Masters of Education in Secondary School Administration from the University of Central Missouri and his Education Specialist in Educational Administration degree from the University of Missouri.

Rachel Stewart, Assistant Principal

Ms. Stewart started her education career in 2017 at Turner Middle School teaching English Language Arts and Journalism. The last two years, she has served as an Instructional Coach at TMS.

She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education from Kansas State University and her Master’s Degree in Education Administration from Emporia State University.
