BUILDING INFORMATION
Junction Elementary is one of four elementary schools in the Turner district consisting of students in grades preschool-5th grade. There are approximately 300 students and 50 faculty and staff members. At Junction we constantly strive for students to make the right choices in their education and teach them to be responsible for themselves and their work.
Mission Statement
The school and home will create a learning environment which promotes productivity, responsibility, and self-reliance in each child.
Belief Statement
We believe learning is the shared responsibility of students, parents, community, teachers, and administrators. All students will be provided with opportunities:
- To develop a sense of citizenship, respect for self, respect for others, and environment
- To learn responsibility and self-discipline
- To meet academic, social, emotional, and physical needs in a safe and fair environment
- To become life long learners
LEASHA WOLTERMAN, Principal
Leasha Wolterman has served the Turner School District since 2002 as a teacher, instructional coach, assistant principal, and now principal at Junction Elementary. She taught 3rd and 4th grade at Midland Trail for 9 years before becoming an instructional coach for the district. In 2004, Mrs. Wolterman earned her Masters degree in Elementary Education. After earning her Building Leadership certification in 2019, she became the assistant principal at Midland Trail Elementary. She is honored by the opportunity to serve the families and community of Junction Elementary!
