We will begin our student meal delivery service on Tuesday, March 24th. Delivery routes can located below this message. Please keep in mind, especially as we launch this service, that the times listed are approximate. Without knowing how much demand there will be, the amount of time we have allowed at each stop could vary significantly.
We are able to distribute meals to all children through age 18. All children who will be receiving a meal must be present with you when the bus arrives. A lunch and breakfast (for the following morning) will be issued to each child present. There will not be any cost for this service or the meals.
Since there could be a large number of people waiting at each stop, please remember to maintain a social distance of at least 6 feet. When the bus comes to a complete stop, the staff member on the bus will pass out meals in an orderly fashion. Please remember that while these employees are working to provide a much needed service, they are learning this process at the same time. We appreciate you being patient with them. Although tips are not accepted, a smile along with a thank you is certainly appreciated.
Please be aware that if further restrictions are issued by the state/county health departments or government, we may be required to suspend this service with little notice. In this case, at minimum, we hope to continue preparing meals for pickup at school sites.
If you have questions related to routes or stops, you may reach the Transportation Office at 913-288-3700 or email@example.com. If you have questions related to the meals provided, you may reach the Food Service Office at 913-288-4141.
Thank you for your continued patience. We will provide updates as necessary.
