Strategic Plan
Turner USD 202 undergoes a Strategic Plan cycle every five years. The current cycle runs from 2025 - 2030.
The plan is made up of five priority areas: Student Achievement, Employee Support, Community Connection, Positive Learning and Work Environment, and Operations. Each of these goal areas is made up of a committee comprised of Board of Education members, district staff, parents, students, and community members.
Each June, the entire Strategic Planning Committee comes together for a full-day planning session at the district office. During this first year of the cycle, the committees had the opportunity to create a new goal and strategies that will remain the same throughout the five-year cycle. Then, for the remainder of the five-year cycle, action steps for each strategy can be adjusted as outcomes are accomplished and needs change.
During the June planning session, part of the day is spent in comprehensive data presentations. These presentations are a reflection of student achievement data and information gathered from our 5Essentials staff, student, and parent/guardian surveys. It is important to us that decisions are made based on data and direct feedback from our school community.
Following the June planning session, the Turner Board of Education is tasked with reviewing the updates and then approving the plan. Then, each quarter the committees put together a video update of the progress on their action steps. These updates are presented to and approved by the Board of Education. They are also made available to the public.
Turner students deserve the best education available, and in return, benefit us all by making our community an incredible place to be proud of for many years to come.
