Turner DAC Hosts KS - MO All-Star Game

Turner DAC was chosen as the site of this year's Kansas versus Missouri All-Star Football game, and featured two Golden Bear athletes!

The Turner District Activity Center was the location of this year's All Star Football Game - Kansas versus Missouri on Thursday, June 16th at 7:00p. This game was presented by the Greater Kansas City Football Coaches Association (GKCFBCA) and brought student athlete football players from around the region. USD 202 had two Turner Golden Bears playing in the game - Ty Cole and David Taylor!

The success of the event was possible because of the efforts by several departments across the district - Facilities & Grounds Maintenance, Transportation, and Security to name a few. "The game sponsors were impressed, not just with our beautiful facility, but how the event was organized and every detail was handled," said Athletic Director Rick Byers.

The event was televised by Spectrum Sports and will be replayed several more times on their channel this summer.

"Our two Golden Bears that participated in the game stole the show," said Byers. "Ty Cole was chosen the Kansas Offensive Player of the Game and David Taylor made several game changing plays, which proves our kids can play with anyone. There were tons of future Golden Bears on the sideline that were very excited, thinking one day that could be them."
