Welcome to Turner Parents as Teachers
Children come into this world ready for love and learning! Parents are their children's first and most influential teachers. However, babies don't come with directions! The Parents as Teachers Program (PAT) informs, supports, and encourages parents in this very important role. The program is offered at no cost to families that are expecting a baby or have children between the ages of birth and thirty-six months.
Through PAT, parents are supported by certified parent educators trained to translate the scientific information on brain development and early childhood education into specific when, what, how, and why information for families. By understanding what to expect during each stage of development, parents can easily capture the teachable moments in everyday life to enhance their child's language development, intellectual growth, social development and motor skills.
