Parents as Teachers Home
Nurturing relationships between children and their parents is key to providing a strong foundation for healthy growth and development. Cultivating these bonds is at the core of our Parents at Teachers (PAT) program.
Our Parent Educators inform, support, and encourage parents through an evidence and research based program. Fun activities are introduced that will foster learning and nurture your child's development while positive discipline, new techniques for problem solving, realistic expectations of child behavior, and ways to raise children's self-esteem are discussed.
The Parents as Teacher Program (PAT) is available to families that are expecting a baby or have a child between birth to three years of age at no cost.

What we Offer as Parents as Teachers
Personal Visits
Certified parent educators, trained in child development, visit the family's home twice a month for an hour. They address any parenting concerns that you may have and help you understand what to expect as YOUR child grows.
Visit times are flexible so that all families can participate and both English and Spanish speaking certified parent educators are available. Families with children 3 years or younger are eligible to enroll.
Group Connections
Playgroups where parents can enjoy and opportunity to interact with other families are held monthly. Parents will also be able to meet with experts who will share information about early childhood development.
Community Resources
Parents as Teachers can aide in connecting families to other local resources available in our community, if needed and wanted.
